摘要:Supervisor is the decisive factor for postgraduates to develop their innovative ability. This paper uses the method of social network analysis to define the concept of the supervisor network position and analyses the intrinsic influence of the supervisor network position, the postgraduates’ absorptive capacity and the postgraduates’ innovative ability. Absorptive capacity construct the theoretical model among the three as intermediary. The empirical data were collected by questionnaire. The research shows the information as follows: Supervisor’s centrality and structure hole have positive influence on postgraduates’ innovation ability; the absorptive capacity of postgraduates has a positive effect on the innovation ability of postgraduates, and the absorptive capacity of postgraduates plays a part of mediating role between supervisor network position and postgraduates’ innovation ability....
摘要:This paper takes consumers anticipated regret into consideration in the pre-sale competition decision model, and analyzes the impact of anticipated regret on retailers’ pre-sale price and revenue in the pre-sale context where consumers have uncertain valuations and preference matching. The results show that, for retailers with higher probability of matching, it is expected that anticipated buying regret is harm to improve revenue, while anticipated waiting regret is beneficial. Conversely, for the retailer with lower possibility of matching, anticipated buying regret is beneficial to improve revenue, while waiting regret is not....
摘要:The flexibility plays an important role in making the managers powerful in the regard of investment in the future. The problems of the capital market have necessitated the maintenance of flexibility for the companies for the purpose of using profitable opportunities. The present research has aimed to study the effect of financial flexibility on the financial behavior. The statistic sample used in the present study consists of 100 companies accepted in Tehran stock exchange during the years 2009 to 2015. The financial flexibility and financial behavior are respectively the independent and dependent variables which were measured by the investment activity, dividend payout ratio, amount of cash holding and company value. The data analysis was done by the use of the multi-variable regression models based on the panel data techniques and the use of Eviews econometrics software. The results concluded from the study of effect of the financial flexibility on the financial behavior corresponding to the theoretical foundations style="font-family:Verdana;">which style="font-family:Verdana;">had meaningful and positive effects. Therefore, the hypothesis that the financial flexibility has positive and meaningful effect style="font-family:Verdana;">s style="font-family:Verdana;"> on the investment activity of the companies accepted in the stock exchange was confirmed. The other results of paper w style="font-family:Verdana;">ere style="font-family:""> style="font-family:Verdana;"> that the style="font-family:Verdana;">financial flexibility had negative and meaningful effect style="font-family:Verdana;">s style="font-family:Verdana;"> on the dividend payout ratio. So, the hypothesis that the financial flexibility has negative and meaningful effect style="font-family:Verdana;">s style="font-family:Verdana;"> on the dividend payout ratio of the companies accepted in the stock exchange was not confirmed. The hypothesis that the financial flexibility has positive and meaningful effect style="font-family:Verdana;">s style="font-family:Verdana;"> on the amount of cash holding of the companies accepted in the stock exchange was not confirmed, because the effect of the flexibility on the amount of cash holding was not meaningful. Also, the hypothesis that the financial flexibility has positive and meaningful effect style="font-family:Verdana;">s style="font-family:Verdana;"> on the value of companies accepted in the stock exchange was confirmed....
摘要:As a critical component of Chinese think tanks, university think tanks of China have become an important bridge between policy communication and academic research for their professional research capacities and positive social influence. Hence, university think tanks, which have significant influences in the research field of “the Belt and Road” policy, were selected as the subject of this paper, in which their research orientations, research findings, and academic trends are analyzed from the perspective of new media. On this basis, the participation mechanism of university think tanks in “the Belt and Road” policy field is summarized according to the research features and functions of different types of university think tanks, such as think tanks established by comprehensive universities, foreign studies universities, or other local universities. The research findings reveal that university think tanks tend to spread their opinions and suggestions to the public or decision makers through various media methods (e.g. website, microblog, WeChat, forum construction, and news reports), mainly aiming at influencing public opinions and decisions. Furthermore, new media and university think tanks can have effective communication with the public and the government in accordance with their specific features, thus creating a mutually accessible and influential policy network structure. In this network structure, media exposure and public opinions become the problem flow during the research on “the Belt and Road” policy. Then, university think tanks and media comments put forward feasible solutions in response to relevant problems, thus forming the policy flow. Next, related policy suggestions driven by public opinions and social interest groups will become a political flow to affect policy activists. Eventually, strategic decisions will be made, realizing the expression of public opinions and the communication of policy output....
摘要:Firms often look for ways to improve the return on investment that they earn from costly environmental innovation. Drawing from customer-based brand equity perspective, this article investigates license effect, a previously unexplored benefit associated with brands’ environmental innovation. License effect refers that high level style="font-family:Verdana;">of style="font-family:Verdana;">environmental innovation grants brand style="font-family:Verdana;">s style="font-family:""> style="font-family:Verdana;"> the license to employ atypical marketing strategy without penalty (in the form of impaired attitudes). We confirm the existence of license effect at style="font-family:Verdana;">product attribute level and brand level in study 1 and 2. Study 3 further investigated whether license effect style="font-family:Verdana;">was style="font-family:Verdana;"> contingent on important contextual factors. Our results reveal that license takes effect on price strategy at both product attribute level and brand level. Moreover, license effect disappears in recycle phase. We conclude that license comes into effect only when customers construe atypical marketing strategies as behaviors that associated with personal benefit. By introducing license effect, we bridge innovation literature and customer-based brand equity theory to explore firms’ benefit from consumers’ evaluations. Furthermore, our findings remind managers of a new approach to improve return from environmental innovation investment....
摘要:Uganda has recently pursued expansionary fiscal policies, driven by the desire to improve the country’s infrastructure, increase the production of assets, and facilitate accelerated growth. Nevertheless, providing more resources for capital development in line with the country development aspirations alone will not necessarily translate in optimal infrastructure investments. style="font-family:Verdana;"> style="font-family:Verdana;"> style="font-family:Verdana;">A question that arises is, what comes first: Is it to invest in the effort to establish effective systems for managing public investment in order to yield high returns or should financing these investments precede capacity challenges. Using a rich dataset of public sector projects defined by project, financing mix, sector etc; the paper carries out project absorptive capacity and overall fiscal trend analysis to ascertain whether budgeted projects translated to intended outturns. It is found that weak Public Investment capacity has led to less than budgeted public investment outturn which has reduced intended fiscal policy impact. As such, for Uganda to achieve its fiscal objectives there is need to balance its expansionary fiscal policies with the ability to absorb fiscal resources....
摘要:The knowledge management orientations that firms adopt as a business input may lead at least partially to the superior performance of the new products they introduce to the market. Our empirical research investigates the knowledge management orientation effect on new product commercialization performance, using data collected from 700 Iranian manufacturing firms in six industries including plastic, steel manufacturing, construction, machinery, stone, mine, and Nano industries. However, our final sample due to missing data is 252 firms. Further, we study the mediating role of proactive and responsive market orientation. Our findings indicate that knowledge management orientation is positively associated with three aspects of new product commercialization, namely product advantage, new product development, and the number of new products introduced to the market. However, there was no significant mediating role in market orientation. Finally, our results show that market orientation and knowledge management orientation affect commercialization performance and therefore could improve new product commercialization....
摘要:This paper makes multi-dimensional big data analysis on the membership data of a well-known women’s bag fashion brand in China. We use a combination of data cleaning, data visualization, data classification, correlation analysis and data prediction. Based on these analyses, we found eight business insights and made twelve suggestions for business development of the fashion brand. These suggestions include both business development and strategic aspects, as well as suggestions for the upgrading of the member management system. The member management system of the fashion brand has not been very effective maintenance, for example, a lot of data is incomplete, which has a wide range of representation in the member management of Chinese enterprises. Our big data-based analysis method is of great significance for using these incomplete member data to guide the development of the business....
摘要:Based on the data of A-share listed companies from 1996 to 2016, the paper uses the panel double fixed model to study the impact of the company’s transition to a larger proportion of independent directors on corporate innovation behavior. It is concluded that the increase in the proportion of independent directors of the company can make the number of patents of the company significant. Increased conclusions. Compared with invention patents, non-invention patent applications have increased more, and the increase in independent directors has prompted managers to pay more attention to the benefits and risks of innovation. At the same time, based on the DID model, this paper analyzes the impact of the minimum independent director policy ratio on the company’s innovation activities. The study finds that the minimum independent director ratio policy allows private companies to lower their minimum proportion of companies and increase their strategic innovation behavior, instead of seeking exploration and breakthroughs in new technologies....

摘要:While traditional Discount IP Management focuses on the economic management of a large number of patents, novel Lean IP Management focuses on a handful of valuable ones. Discount IP Management primarily faces the question of how a high number of patents can be handled cost-effectively. Here, it is important to determine how a large patent portfolio can be obtained at a low cost, with a reduction in patent quality taken into account. Lean IP Management is concerned solely with valuable high-quality patents with the potential for economic benefit. 摘要: style="text-align:justify;"> This study sought mainly to examine the effect of Emotional intelligence (EI) and readiness for organizational change (RFC). Additionally, the study sought to explore the association between EI, RFC and demographic variables. The data were collected from employees from a government authority in Jeddah city, Saudi Arabia. The data were analyzed using Spearman’s rho to find the relation between EI and employee’s RFC. Then, Simple Linear Regression was applied to find the effect of EI on the employee’s RFC. In addition, association between RFC and demographic variables was determined by Chi-square. The findings of this study confirmed the significant relationship between EI and employees’ readiness to accept change. There was a statistically significant association between RFC and education level among participants. However, there was no association between other demographic variables and RFC or EI. This study has some limitations that were presented at the end of the study.

摘要: style="text-align:justify;"> The long established link between food and oil prices in the global market is still uncertain in cross-country, regional and domestic analyses. In this paper, we review theoretical and empirical submissions on the nexus between food and oil market. Qualitative content analysis was used to critically analyze concepts and theories based on the past empirical evidences. The analysis shows that there is hardly a consistent and generalized submission on the direction of the relationship between oil price and agricultural commodity prices, as against the popular notion of co-movement between food and oil prices among researchers. However, studies on cross country analysis are scarce and among them, very few are related to oil exporting countries, hence the need to revisit the unending debate on the relationship between the two important markets based on economic structure (oil exporting/importing economy), capacity of an economy (high/low income economy) and the causes and nature of crisis in the markets.

摘要: style="text-align:justify;"> Considering the effect of inflation on financial development and economic growth, in this paper we investigate the role of inflation in the effect of financial development on the economic growth in OPEC economies for the period of 1970 to 2015. For this purpose, we used Panel Smooth Threshold Regression (PSTR) to estimate nonlinear effects of inflation in the relation between economic growth and financial development. The results of estimation show that the thresholds of inflation rate were 20.33 and 20.36 considering the two different proxies of financial development (domestic credit provided by banking and domestic credit to private sector). The results of nonlinear estimation showed that in over-threshold inflations, the effect of financial development on the economic growth in the OPEC economies would decrease and would even become negative.

摘要: style="text-align:justify;"> Cross-boundary, which is the key word of IT industry in 2010, swept down from upstream industries to downstream terminals, PC, software, internet… no exception in all areas. With the combination of mobile and internet, a revolutionary change has been brought about. However, the power of traditional fields can never remain mighty in new areas. By using mathematical tools form the thinking mode of discrete mathematics and continuous mathematics, the second cross-boundary is a theoretical basis of cross-boundary economic management information system as well as a scientific method for realizing the integration between the optimal input-output planning model and Big data, new technologies of Cloud Computing and Internet of Things or new internet industry. With the second cross-boundary, area, scale, strength and efficiency of its application will be beyond our imagination. Based on modernisation of enterprise management, the cross-boundary economic management information system can be used to promote not only management of enterprises, but comprehensively enhance modern management quality and governance capacity. 摘要: style="text-align:justify;"> Despite its popularity as a strategy to accelerate innovations there is evidence that open innovation does not always increase innovation performance. Extant literature provides inconsistent and inconclusive arguments in respect of the relationship between open innovation practices and innovation performance. Existing theories mostly have an internal focus and fall short of explaining why some firms succeed in open innovation initiatives and why others fail. Open innovation is about knowledge flows. We argue that boundary conditions matter in innovation performance and sequential coherence can explain why some succeed while others fail in open innovation. A qualitative inquiry we made reveals that sequential coherence that facilitates the knowledge transfer at boundary level influences innovation performance in open innovation initiatives. Sequential coherence is measured through the push and the pull effects by willingness and ability of the participants of teacher firm and the preparedness and ability of the participants from the student firm respectively. We trust that our findings bridge a gap in open innovation literature. These initial findings could be generalized through a quantitative study with larger samples. Managerial implications of the finding is that ability to scan the entire chain of knowledge flow across boundaries and taking corrective measures for any bottlenecks or hindrances observed can bring better results from open innovation initiatives. Further, sequential coherence leads to multiple research opportunities in furthering our knowledge in open innovation.
