摘要:Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) has become the third most used plastic after polyethylene and polypropylene and the worldwide demand continues to increase.Polyvinyl chloride is produced by polymerization of the vinyl chloride monomer (VCM),which is manufactured industrially via the dehydrochlorination of dichloroethane or the hydrochlorination of acetylene.Currently PVC production through the acetylene hydrochlorination method accounts for about 70% of the total PVC production capacity in China.However,the industrial production of VCM utilizes a mercuric chloride catalyst to promote the reaction of acetylene and hydrogen chloride.During the hydrochlorination,the highly toxic mercuric chloride tends to sublime,resulting in the deactivation of the catalyst and also in severe environmental pollution problems.Hence,for China,it is necessary to explore environmental friendly non-mercury catalysts for acetylene hydrochlorination as well as high efficiency novel reactors,with the aim of sustainable PVC production via the acetylene-based method.This paper presents a review of non-mercury heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts as well as reactor designs,and recommends future work for developing cleaner processes to produce VCM over nonmercury catalysts with high activity and long stability....
摘要:The effect of commercial frequency electromagnetic field on the solidification structure and mechanical properties of copper hollow blanks prepared by horizontal continuous casting method was investigated. The results show that when the electromagnetic field is imposed, columnar grains are evidently refined and fine equiaxed grains are obtained in the inner side of the cross-section. Moreover, with the increase of input current, the equiaxed grain region widens and the grains distribute more uniformly in the circumferential direction. Meanwhile, the mechanical properties are remarkably improved by the application of electromagnetic field. When the input current is 140 A, the tensile strength increases 15% and the elongation increases 10%. However, the electromagnetic field has no effect on the distribution of microelements....
摘要:Ru-based catalysts modified in different atmospheres by plasma technology were prepared to catalyze the acetylene hydrochlorination reaction.The (Ru/AC)-N2 (AC =activated carbon)catalyst yielded by the plasma modification of Ru/AC catalyst in N2 atmosphere exhibits the best catalytic performance with a stable C2H2 conversion of 87.2%;a relative increase of 27.1%in C2H2 conversion was achieved compared with that of the untreated Ru/AC catalyst.The results of the analysis revealed that the modification produced a mutual effect between the generated function groups on carrier AC and the active components,which can disperse and yield more active species in the fresh catalysts.These are benefits of enhancing the activity of the catalysts.Moreover,the modification can restrain coke formation and inhibit the loss of active species in the reaction,as well as strengthen the adsorption ability of reactants on the catalysts.These are benefits of improving the catalysts' performance....
