Some turbo engine, its performance promotes, the combustion pressure increased nearly 30 bar compare to the original one. Thus the strength and fatigue durability of the connecting rod should be advanced. If still use the former connecting rod model, it’ll have risk. So we do the nonlinear finite element analysis and high cycle fatigue analysis of the connecting rod under new boundary to discover the weak area, optimize the structure, and make the connecting rod satisfy the strength aim. The result shows that the optimized connecting rod can satisfy the new updated engine.
