It is crucial to design a rational and effective imaging laser radar system for the research of the imaging laser radar. The relationship between many paramete r s must be considered adequately. The laser source and the detector and some oth e r components are chose on the basis of the required index. A diode-pumped soli d state Nd∶YAG laser is selected as the laser source. The performance of the im ag ing laser radar system is researched in the light of detection statistics relate d with range, probability of detection, false alarm rate and signal to noise.
